Who Cares? Rhonda – A Citizen Advocate

This is a very interesting article which examines a real relationship between Rhonda and Lynette. As an advocate, Rhonda is regularly doing something on behalf of Lynette on important issues such as health and safety. The realism of the article means the reader may be able to empathise with Rhonda and Lynette. For example, the frustration of trying to initiate change within DCS, the lack of staff training, and management of staff of residential services. The article also makes reference to a report: “Who Cares – Protecting People in Residential Care”, which confirms Rhonda’s and Lynette’s experiences. Keyword: Advocacy
