The Unexpected,

Suzan Yuan talks about the unexpected and very positive outcomes of her teenage son’s enrolment in a regular class in his local high school – not only for her son but for his peers, teachers and herself. She shares her excitement that he has learnt things that she never expected he could learn, and talks of the friendships he made and her belief that she “would no longer (have to) struggle alone for what is right for Andreas’ life”. It should be noted that Susan Yuan is using the word ‘Integration’ for a process that Family Advocacy identifies as ‘Inclusion’.
